Inspection results for quality supervision on water based coatings in Shanghai 2015

Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision issued quality supervision results for water based coatings in Shanghai in 2015. The inspection involves 20 batches of products on items such as volatile organic compounds, benzene series, glycol ether and its esters, free formaldehydes and migration of heavy metals. All products pass during the inspection.
 
Inspection bases: GB 24410-2009 Indoor decorating and refurbishing materials—Limit of harmful substances of water based woodenware coatings, GB/T 23999-2009 Water based coatings for woodenware for indoor decorating and refurbishing and other national standards relevant with the products.
 
Inspection items: Volatile organic compounds, benzene series, glycol ether and its esters, free formaldehydes, migration of heavy metals, hardness, adhesive force, resistance to adhesion, resistance to scratch, resistance to water, resistance to alkali, resistance to alcohol, resistance to contamination, resistance to heat (dry).
 
Inspection results: All of 20 batches prove to be qualified during the inspection.
 
The limits of harmful substances of water based woodenware coatings are as the following according to GB 24410-2009:
