[RAPEX] Overview of RAPEX notifications in Week 38, 2012

In Sep.21, 2012, European Commission released the weekly overview report of rapex（The Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products ） notification of week 38. There are 34 notifications in this week which number has dropped compared to week 37.

The  product categories most frequently notified through the RAPEX system on week 38 were：
• Clothing, textiles and fashion items(19 notifications, 55.89%)

• Cosmetics (6 notifications, 17.65%)

• Laser pointer (3 notifications, 8.82%)
 

The three most frequently notified risk categories were:

• Injuries (10 notifications, 29.41%)

• strangulation (9 notifications, 26.47%)

• Chemical (7notifi ations, 20.59%)
