First destroy case of pull-up baby diapers in Zhejiang, China

On 28 May, Hangzhou Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau supervises on the destroy of 494 packs (124 cartons) of unqualified pull-up baby diaper imported from Japan, which turns out to be the first destroy case on such products by Zhejiang Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
In March 2015, during inspection of well-known "Goon" pull-up baby diaper (worth $ 22,305), Hangzhou Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau found that 494 of 1912 packs thereof were in damaged plastic package, which might lead to direct contamination by the outside. In addition, partial products even had no compliance tags in Chinese on their sale package, failing to comply with the national mandatory Hygienic Standard for Disposable Sanitary Products.
It was also found that Chinese importers bought those products from Japan's supermarkets and small retailers and etc. and then sent them to China market after certain accumulation instead of obtaining products from the original factories directly. So there are two reasons for such damage on the package: 1. The dimension of cartons provided by shippers themselves does not match that of the products inside 2. The inner plastic package lacks strength.
Though no excessive microorgasm is found when their package is damaged during selective sample examination, Hangzhou Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau decided to destroy those products (with damaged package) as they were deemed risky of contamination in further circulation.
