Switzerland adds five biocides to actives' list

Switzerland has informed the World Trade Organization of its intention to amend the list of active substances in the country’s biocidal product Regulations to reflect the addition of the substances to Annex I of the EU biocidal products Directive.

The additions are:

1.alkyl (C12-16) dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride (product type 8);

2.diflubenzuron (product type 18);

3.pyriproxyfen (product type 18);

4.didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) (product type 8); and

5.thiamethoxam (product type 18).

The proposed date of adoption is 15 June 2013, and the decision is open for 60 days from the date of submission.
