Japan returns “made-in-China” food contact products

Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare shows that 48 batches of food and food-related products have been abandoned or returned as violations against Food Sanitation Act in Japan, among which, there are two batches exported from China. The violation results from evaporities.

Aluminum kettles	Taiwan (China) Manufacturer: BC INDUSTRIES LIMITED	The evaporities in distilled water is 40μg/ml and that in acetic acid (4%) is 130μg/ml, exceeding the limits of Japan’s Standard for Food and Food Additives in violation against Article18 (2) of Food Sanitation Act in Japan.
Nylon clamps	China Manufacturer: YANGJIANG JINCHU PLASTIC & HARDWARE CO.,LTD.	The evaporities in acetic acid (4%) is 37μg/ml in violation against Article18 (2) of Food Sanitation Act in Japan

The above products will be abandoned or returned by competent authorities.

C&K Testing advises to test total lead and cadmium, migration of heavy metals, consumption of potassium permanganate, migration of colours besides evaporities in terms of food contact materials to be exported to Japan for conformity.
