Annex XVII to regulation (EC) No 1976/2006 of the European parliament and of the council on the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals (REACH) has gone through 5 amendments:

●On 15 May 2012, directive(EU)No 412/2012 added DMF into entry 61

●On 19 Sep. 2012, directive(EU)No 835/2012 added Pb and its compounds into entry 63

●On 19 Sep. 2012, directive(EU)No 836/2012 amended entry 23

●On 20 Sep. 2012, directive(EU)No 847/2012 amended entry 18(a)

●On 20 Sep. 2012, directive(EU)No 848/2012 added phenylmercury compounds into entry 62

Above-mentioned newly impacts on related industries such as textiles, shoes, jewellery and so on. Enterprises should establish the supply chain management system to control and restrict the use of hazardous or harmful substances, making the final products safe enough before exporting. Undoubtedly the best bet is to look for Substitute Goods and weed out the use of hazardous substances.
