Inspection results for quality supervision on children's footwear in Shanghai 2016

 Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision issued quality supervision results for children’s footwear in Shanghai on 3 June 2016. The inspection involves 40 batches of products, 18 of which prove to be unqualified due to colour fastness to rubbing, formaldehyde, hexavalent chromium, heavy metals and phthalates.

Inspection items: sensory quality, physical properties (abnormal ordour, outsole hardness, peeling strength, abrasion resistance, flexing resistance, shrank, etc.), chemical properties (cleavable carcinogenic arylamines, free or hydrolyzing formaldehydes, chlorinated phenols, pH value, hexavalent chromium, extractable or total heavy metals, phthalates, DMFu, N-nitrosoamines).
