Chinese standards on glass and bamboo furniture applies on 1 July

GB/T 32446-2015 General technical requirements for glass furniture and GB/T 32444-2015 General technical requirements for bamboo furniture published by Standardisation Administration of the People's Republic of China shall apply since 1 July 2016.
 
GB/T 32446-2015 provides for indexes for appearance, physiochemical properties, safety, performance, strength and tampered labelling. The standard highlights strict requirements on product safety including requirements on hazardous substances. Tempered labelling helps to distinguish authentic tempered glass from general glass sold on the market.
 
GB/T 32444-2015 sets forth requirements in dimensions and differences, shape and position tolerance, materials, appearance, surface physiochemical properties, strength and hazardous substances. It imposes stringent requirements on formaldehyde, benzene, toluene and migration of other hazardous substances.
