GB standard to restrict VOC, decomposable aromatic amine and flame retardant of mattress

Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC) released a notification to the WTO on the preparation of the national standard Upholstered furniture- Limit of volatile organic compounds, decomposable aromatic amine and flame retardant of mattress (G/TBT/N/CHN/1095) on 22 July 2015.
 
The standard sets forth the terms and definitions, requirements, testing methods and inspection rules hereof, applicable to various home mattresses (excluding water mattress and air bed) made of PVC and PVC artificial leather

The above clauses concerning limit of volatile organic compounds, decomposable aromatic amine and flame retardant of mattress are mandatory.
 
The standard will be approved in the 90th day since its issuing by WTO secretary. The formal date for its effectiveness is six months since its approval.
