OJ published the harmonised standards on nickel release under REACH

On 15 January 2016, the Official Journal of the European Union published 2016/C 014/04, publicising the latest harmonised standards under entry 27 of Annex XVII of REACH. EN 1811:2011+A1:2015 was officially listed as the harmonised standard to supersede EN 1811:2011.

The latest harmonised standards for nickel release are as the following:

Reminder: The inclusion of EN 1811:2011+A1:2015 in harmonised standard will affect the judgment of nickel release under REACH. Companies should evaluate risks to confirm whether to re-test products.
