ECHA proposes to restrict cadmium in artist paints
On 17 October 2013,ECHA has submitted a proposal to amend the present restriction of cadmium and its compounds.
As the Registry of intention (ECHA website) says,the new amendment will restrict the cadmium containing in Artist paints(TARIC Code:3212).That also includes a concentration limit of 0.01% to facilitate enforcement of the measure.
Earlier this year,Sweden announced its intention to submit a proposal extending the restriction on paints.They is expected to sumit the restriction proposal by 17 January 2014.
