Two Restrictions Added into Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on Cosmetic Products

5 December 2017, the Official Journal of the European Union published the Directive (EU)2017/2228 to amend the Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetics products.

Cosmetic products containing one or more of the substances restricted by this Regulation and not complying with the restrictions laid down in this Regulation shall not be placed on the Union market from 25 September 2018 and shall not be made available on the Union market from 25 December 2018. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
