Turkey includes 9 chemical restrictions in toy regulation

On 1 Apr. 2017, Turkey Ministry of Custom released Gazette No. 30025 to amend Turkish toy regulation in the interest of clarity, and also include 9 restrictions for toys.

It is noted that the new toy regulation published in Oct. 2016 aligns with EU Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC.

The amendments to Turkish toy safety are as below:

The four restrictions (TCEP, TCPP, TDCP and BPA) come into operation since 21 December 2015. In Turkish toy regulation, the four restrictions become applicable from 4 April 2017. The applicability date of other five restrictions in the list aligns with that of the EU Safety Directive.
