Singapore publishes RoHS legislation draft

National Environment Agency of Singapore notified WTO (G/TBT/N/SGP/24) of its proposed RoHS (SG RoHS).

According to EU RoHS (Directive 2011/65/EU), the act is its adaption to regulate six categories, namely: mobile phones, laptops, refrigerators, air conditioners, TVs and washing machines.

But unlike EU RoHS, it excludes spare and accessory parts for separate sale.

Manufacturers, importers and agents for the aforesaid products offered for sale or export to Singapore shall comply with requirements of regulation. The Act is expected to be published in the last quarter of 2015.
