Recalls of imported multikettles for acrylonitrile monomer

Beijia Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall scheme to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ). The recall covers some multikettles (model VP360.LGC and VP360.BTQ, manufacture batch: 50000138) which were manufactured during May to June 2015 under the brand of Royal vkb. Based on the company’s statistics, there are 66 units of such products affected in mainland China.
For your information, the products fall under the scope are recalled due to excessive levels of acrylonitrile monomer, which do not company with the Chinese standard GB 17327-1998 Hygienic STANDARD for acrylonitrile-styrene products used as food containers and packaging materials (limit for acrylonitrile monomer: 50 mg/kg). It can pose a great hazard for human health providing you use the mutikettles in the long run.
Beijia Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. intends to publicise its recall scheme on its website in recent days and refund the defective consumer products.
