The European Commission validated 344 RASFF notifications this month, including 322 notifications on food, accounting for 93.60%; 13 notifications on feed, accounting for 3.78%; 9 notifications on food contact materials (FCMs), accounting for 2.62%, in which 5 products from China are contained, accounting for 55.56%.
The prime hazards for FCMs are migration of elements and excessive levels of heavy metals.
