The European Commission validated 260 RASFF notifications this month, including 230 notifications on food, accounting for 88.46%; 14 notifications on feed, accounting for 5.39%; 16 notifications on food contact materials (FCMs), accounting for 6.15%.
The prime hazards for FCMs are migration of elements and excessive levels of heavy metals.
