[RASFF] Overview of RASFF FCM notifications in May 2017

The European Commission validated 350 RASFF notifications this month, including 308 notifications on food, accounting for 88.00%; 24 notifications on feed, accounting for 7.00 %; 18 notifications on food contact materials (FCMs), accounting for 5.00%, in which 12 products from China are contained, accounting for 67.00%.

The prime hazards for FCMs are migration of elements and excessive levels of heavy metals. There are more details on FCM notifications as below:
