The European Commission validated 280 RASFF notifications this month, including 244 notifications on food, accounting for 87.14%; 22 notifications on feed, accounting for 7.86%; 14 notifications on food contact materials (FCMs), accounting for 5.00%.
The prime hazards for FCMs are migration of elements and excessive levels of heavy metals.
