There are 190 RASFF notifications this month, including 170 notifications on food, 10 notifications on feed, 10 notifications on food contact materials (FCMs).
The major hazards for the notifications on FCMs are migration and excessive heavy metal. Among the notifications, there are 9 of Chinese FCMs products, accounting for 90%, such as knives, plastic bowls, melamine cups, melamine tureen, manual grinder, ice bag, plastic cutlery, latex gloves and metal vessels. Accompanying measures are also taken to recall or withdraw products.
