The European Commission validated 264 RASFF notifications this month, including 239 notifications on food, accounting for 90.53%; 19 notifications on feed, accounting for 7.20 %; 6 notifications on food contact materials (FCMs), accounting for 2.27%, in which 3 products from China are contained, accounting for 50.00%.
The prime hazards for FCMs are migration of elements and excessive levels of heavy metals.
