House Bill 99 which would bar the use of the flame retardant tris-(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP) in certain childcare products for children age 3 andyounger
has been approved in Maryland.
On March 19th , Minnesota will hold a hearings for House Bill 459 to bar bisphenol
A (BPA) from children's food containers,and for House Bill 458 which ban formaldehyde
from children's products.
Before long,House Bill 605 and Senate Bill 1166 might be released as well. One is about the use of chemicals of concern in children's products ,and the
other would restrict use of triclosan and comparable antibacterials.
