Recently the Chicago Tribune has released a report of testing of crib mattresses for three chemical flame retardants. Chicago Tribune commissioned Stat Analysis to test crib mattresses for three types of flame retardants: Tris (2-chlorethyl) phosphate (TCEP), Tris (2-chloroisopropyl) phosphate (TCPP) and Tris (1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCPP). This 27 crib mattresses were purchased in 2011 and 2012. 13 sold by three companies - Angeles, Babies R Us, and Foundations - contained at least one chlorinated Tris compound.

Just in the past year, there were not a few related actions about chemical flam retardants.

●In March, the largest child car seat in American promised Britax to phase out the use of brominated flame-retardants and chlorinated flame-retardants

●In May, American senator writed to EPA to commission complete survey on chemical flame retardants .

●In July , Graco children’s products Inc. announced to ban the use of hazard chemical flame retardant.

we can belive there will be more banned hazard chemcal flame retardants in future.
