In February 2021, the government commissioned an evaluation expert team to verify the CMA qualification of C&K Testing Laboratory. C&K Testing has successfully passed the on-site review of all testing items of VOCs new national standards in this application for expansion, and has obtained the qualification of China Inspection Body and Laboratory Mandatory Approval (CMA) for testing relevant standards for coatings, inks, adhesives and cleaning agents, etc.
On July 3, 2018, the State Council of the People's Republic of China issued the "three-year action plan to fight air pollution" to accelerate the improvement of ambient air quality. The goal is to reduce total VOCs emissions by 10% in 2020 compared with 2015. According to the requirements, the National Standardization Management Committee has successively announced mandatory national standards for coatings, inks, adhesives, and cleaning agents in various industries. Many standards have been officially implemented, and the country has also launched special enforcement actions for VOCs rectification, involving illegal activities including the production, sale and use of paints, inks, adhesives, cleaning agents and other products that do not meet the national or local VOCs content limit standards.
