22 November 2017, WTO published a draft commission regulation notified by EU, amending Annex V to Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cosmetic products.

New regulation restricts the maximum concentration of O-PHENYLPHENOL as a preservative in leave-on cosmetic products from the current authorized concentration of 0.2% to 0.15%.

The proposed date of adoption of the draft regulation is the third quarter of 2018, and it will enter into force from the 20th day from publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
