EU adopts lower lead limits in toy safety directive

On 27 March 2017, EU ministers adopted the amendments to Annex II to toy safety directive to lower the lead limit.

The new rules are in line with those proposed in the draft notified to the EU as below:

The amendments will take into force on the twentieth day following the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and come into operation 18 months after the publication of the Directive.
