ECHA Proposed a Public Consultation on Four Potential SVHC Substances

3 September 2019, ECHA published a proposal for four chemicals to be identified as SVHC and launched a public comment. The deadline for commenting is 18 October 2019. If identified as SVHCs, the substances will be added to the Candidate List for eventual inclusion in the Authorisation List, which currently includes 201 substances in the SVHC list.

C&K Testing reminds enterprises that, the product containing SVHC materials, whose content exceeds 0.1%, needs to inform ECHA. In later 6 months, the product containing more than 0.1% the concentration of a single SVHC in the article and the annual export volume is more than 1 ton, shall notify the ECHA. The list of SVHC updates twice a year.
