Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalls 37 batches of products in May 2016. There are 17 batches of Chinese products, accounting for 45.94%, decreased by 17.02%.
Based on our statistics, the products notified through the CPSC in May were as below:
The above diagram show that sports and hobby facilities are the products that most frequently notified in May. Household products and children’s products are also notified due to the potential risks they present to the customers.
Our analysis shows that fall, injury and fire are the types of risk that most frequently notified, accounting for 27.03%, 18.91% and 18.91%.
Accompanying remedies (refund, replacement and repair) are taken for such notifications.
As notified on the CPSC website, some customers have already got injured due to the potential hazards.
