[CPSC] Overview of CPSC notifications on recalls in June 2018

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalls 15 batches of products in June 2018. There are 9 batches of Chinese products, accounting for 60%.

Based on our statistics, the Chinese products notified through the CPSC in June were as below:

2018-06-08	Name: PowerSmart snow blowers Units : About 34,600 Recall number : 18-173 Manufactured in : China	The pulley bolt can loosen and cause the snow blower to get stuck in drive mode, posing an injury hazard.	Amerisun has received 20 reports of loose pulley bolts, 15 in the U.S. and five in Canada, including eight reports of the snow blower getting stuck in drive mode. No injuries have been reported. 2018-06-12	Name: Ketra D3 recessed downlights Units : About 3400 Recall number : 18-175 Manufactured in : China	The downlights power supply connectors can have incorrect wiring, posing an electric shock hazard to the user.	The firm has received two reports of incorrect wiring found in the downlights by an electrician. No injuries have been reported.	Repair
2018-06-12	Name: Lorex video monitors models LW2751, LW2752 and LW2962H Units : About 22000 Recall number : 18-177 Manufactured in : China	The video monitor’s batteries can overheat, swell and expand and cause the battery cover to open or come off and expose hot batteries, posing a burn hazard to consumers.	The firm has received 328 reports of the monitor battery overheating and/or expanding. No injuries have been reported.	Refund
2018-06-12	Name: Mirrors, art and wall decor Units : About 17,000 Recall number : 18-176 Manufactured in : China	The hanging hardware can break and allow the decor to fall, posing an injury hazard to bystanders.	Uttermost has received 13 reports of the hanging hardware breaking and causing mirrors and wall décor to fall from walls, including one injury when a mirror fell and caused a laceration to a consumer’s leg. 2018-06-19	Name: Women’s scarves Units : About 640 Recall number : 18-749 Manufactured in : China	The women’s scarves fail to meet the federal flammability standard for clothing textiles, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers.	None reported	Refund
2018-06-20	Name: Multi-Purpose Telescoping Aluminum Ladders Units : About 78,000 Recall number : 18-179 Manufactured in : China	The ladders can break while in use, posing a fall hazard to the user.	The firm has received one report of a ladder breaking while in use, resulting in one injury to the left side and elbow of the consumer.	Refund
2018-06-26	Name: Stanley workbench LED light and power stations Units : About 20,000 Recall number : 18-748 Manufactured in : China	The recalled workbench and power stations are wired incorrectly, which can result in reverse polarity, posing shock and electrocution hazards.
