[CPSC] Overview of CPSC notifications on recalls in July 2017

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalls 19 batches of products in July 2017. There are 11 batches of Chinese products, accounting for 57.90%.

The fuel tank neck can crack or the wiring harness can overheat or short circuit, posing fuel leak and fire hazards.

Polaris has received 102 reports of cracked fuel tank necks and 28 reports of burning, smoking, melted and/or shorted wires, including four reports of fires. No injuries have been reported.

The lithium-ion battery packs in the self-balancing scooters/hoverboards can overheat, posing a risk of smoking, catching fire and/or exploding.

There have been two reports of the battery packs in the recalled self-balancing scooters/hoverboards smoking and overheating. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

The halogen bulbs sold with the chandeliers can melt parts of the fixture, posing fire and burn hazards.

There have been 39 reports of plastic on the unit burning and melting, wires burned, or overheating in the 4-Light Chandelier and one report of the unit catching fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
