[CPSC] Overview of CPSC notifications on recalls in January 2016

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalls 26 batches of products in January 2016. There are 16 batches of Chinese products, accounting for 61.54%, reduced by 1.42%.

The household products are the category that most frequently notified. Home appliances and children’s products come in the second place.

The above products are notified for various hazards, namely: laceration, choking, electric shock, falls, fire, explosion, strangulation and crash. Accompanying remedies (refund, replacement and repair) are taken for such notifications.

As notified on the CPSC website, some customers have already got injured due to the potential hazards.
