Kunshan (in Jiangsu Province, China) has returned 11,256 shirts imported from Japan according to laws due to presence of musty taste and mildew.

It is known that those clothes are imported from Japan by an import & export trading company. Kunshan Exit-entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau found the presence of musty taste and mildew during inspection. The Bureau returned the products as per National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products and laws related with inspection and quarantine.

C&K Testing reminds companies that products are forbidden to be offered for sale in China where non-compliant with Chinese standards pertaining to safety and hygiene. Competent departments will return or destroy non-compliant products. It is advisable that companies should evaluate risks with due caution and have the product tested for conformity.
