19 July, 2017, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) issued the status of recalling defective consumer product in the first half of 2017. According to data presentation, in the first half of 2017, there were 143 recalls of automobile products, involving 4.7601 million automobiles; 252 recalls of consumer product, involving 3.0168 million pieces.

In the recalling of defective consumer product, related manufacturers totally recalled 69 times, involving 1.11775 million pieces, accounting for 39.03% of the total. China has accumulated the recalling of consumer products 488 times, involving 11 categories of products, referring to more than 9.2 million products from 2016.

According to the categories of recalling products, Electrical and electronic equipment, other automobile equipment and child products are three largest recalled products in the first half of 2017. The recalling of electrical and electronic equipment totals 59 times, involving 1.1882 million. The recalling of automobile products totals 12 times, involving 1.1868 million pieces. While the recalling of child products totals 163 times, involving 0.45 million pieces.

Meanwhile, according to the data published by import and export industrial and consumer product assessment center of AQSIQ. China had accumulated the recalling of imports, referring to battery packs, baby toothbrush, chopstick,born free, wet tissue, frying pan, children’s shoes, etc. Most recalling products of them could not comply with related legislation standards or fail to provide compliance Chinese labels
