California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has adopted a rule to extend Proposition 65 BPA warning provisions for canned and bottled food products through to the end of next year, which takes into force since 1 January 2017. The emergency regulation enacted in April 2016 will be therefore replaced but remains effective until 31 December 2016.

Generally consistent with the emergency rule the newly adopted rule also requires businesses should submit a list including all products where BPA is intentionally added to OEHHA.

The procedure for Prop 65 compliance is quite complicated. C&K Testing advises businesses should choose authoritative testing body for professional solutions.
